A Journey of Heart, Heritage & Handmade Elegance
Our small step towards celebrating Indian craftsmanship and empowering the hands that preserve it.
The Spark of a Dream
Growing up, Manisha was always drawn to the elegance and grace of Indian wear — especially sarees. Watching the women around her drape themselves in six yards of culture, emotion, and tradition lit a spark that stayed with her through the years.
After graduating from NIFT Delhi and spending over a decade working with some of the most prestigious names in the fashion industry, Manisha decided to follow a dream that had long been quietly weaving itself in the background — to create a brand that pays homage to Indian culture while empowering the hands behind it.
One Woman, One Dream
With very little in hand but a heart full of purpose, Humdum was born in 2021. No big teams, no outside help — just one woman, her passion for sarees, and a deep desire to build something meaningful. Slowly but steadily, Humdum grew, shaped by honesty, creativity, and a personal connection with every design.
What started with sarees has now blossomed into a label offering suits, anarkalis, and more, all handcrafted in our own unit in Gurgaon, where every piece is made with intention, precision, and care.
A Friend in Every Thread
The word Humdum means a companion, a sakhi. And that’s what we wish to be — a comforting, confident, graceful companion to every woman who chooses our pieces. Whether it's a saree passed on from mother to daughter or a suit worn on a new beginning, we want to be part of your most treasured moments.
Our mission goes beyond creating beautiful clothing. At Humdum, we are:
-
Supporting and uplifting our skilled workforce, many of whom are women
-
Combining traditional techniques with modern aesthetics
-
Making custom-crafted, affordable fashion accessible for women of all ages
Every Humdum creation is not just a garment — it’s a celebration of artistry, resilience, and womanhood.
Beyond Fashion — A Movement
In every thread woven, in every fabric dyed, there’s a story — of effort, heritage, and hope. When you wear Humdum, you don’t just wear fashion; you wear a piece of India’s living legacy and contribute to the livelihoods of those who keep it alive.
From our hearts to your wardrobe, thank you for choosing Humdum —
your humble, handcrafted companion.
